My name is Amanda Hearst
I am from Manhattan, but currently, I am based between London and Manhattan.
I studied at Fordham University with a major in Art History.
My favorite place to travel is Norway!
I am the happiest when I am with my family, friends, fiancé, and Finn – The Four F’s : )
I cannot live without travel.
One thing people don’t know about me is that I speak Spanish fluently and that I’m learning Norwegian.
My real-life hero is Oprah.
What I love about my work is that I get to travel and meet interesting people.
I got started with my current career in high school when I started interning at a fashion magazine at the age of 14.
My favorite artist is Rothko.
My favorite book is Norwegian Wood by Murakami.
My favorite film is Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
My astrology sign is Capricorn.
My style inspiration is Emma Watson.
To me, luxury is sustainability.
I became interested in sustainability because I love fashion and I love the environment. When I learned that one affects the other (in often harmful ways), I decided to learn more.
I was inspired to create Maison de Mode because I wanted to show people that luxury fashion is sustainable fashion.
Through Maison de Mode, I am trying to achieve a change in the way people view and understand sustainable fashion.
Success to me is being loved by those whom I love.
